Land Travel Tina writes "Daniel traveled to Vegas a few years ago with a high school group and said he would like to return on his 21st birthday with his family. Since his Dad and I had never traveled to Las Vegas as well as Dave and Lori the trip evolved into a family trip with the help of Gloria and Paul as travel planners. We spent our time checking out the different hotels and casinos, occaisonally playing the slots, some gambling, and experencing "O" and the play Spamolot!Love that rabbit!!!I have to admit the 98 degree days were not uncomfortable, the blue skies rivaled Florida, and the crowds were for the most part well behaved. Dan got the chance to try out different drinks as he won and lost to the one armed bandit. On the last evening I took my husband to the Palms where the only Playboy Club in the world exists. There was nothing special about the club and when they allowed us at 11pm to go up to the Moon Room it was so congested with people it was a bit scary imagining an emergency on this 53rd floor of the Palms! Definitely, according to my husband this was not the classy Playboy Club of the 1960's."

Events Stuff Tina writes "On May 5th I traveled with Estero High students to Key Largo. This was the earliest I had ever done my annual snorkeling trip but since we were heading out to Vegas for Dan's 21st birthday we had to go this weekend. I was concerned we would have lots of wind but to my surprise the visibility was 60 feet, bright blue skies, and calm seas! We had the best snorkeling waters we could ask for!! Both Paul and his Dad captured on video and digital cameras absolutely stunning images of the reef and its inhabitants that day. I now will have to get busy on the narration. Dan was with us on this snorkeling trip this year and was captured on Paul's video along with his Dad and I."

Family News Tina writes "On May 1 , Alexa became one- year old! Since her birthday was on a Tuesday we could not go over to Miami so we did an I-Chat to share the special event. Gloria and Yoyi planned for the following Sunday a big birthday celebration for Alexa centered around a ladybug theme. All throughout the Armand's home and patio the birthday decor was those cute ladybugs! All the children as well as this Grandma enjoyed playing in the huge bounce house . The crawl through tunnel and the bubble machine was also a big hit with the children! The food was so delicious and it was wonderful celebrating Alexa's birthday with the Armand's family and friends. Alexa just loved her outdoor party!!!"

Family News Tina writes "All of March and right through Easter the temperatures were more like spring in North Carolina with many mornings dipping down to the low 50's. The day before Easter we headed over to Miami which was almost as cool. It was apparent Alexa was ready for walking and wanted to have you hold her hand and walk with her all over the house! She was eating more finger food, 'talking away" and was on the verge of taking off and walking by herself!! Not a little baby anymore......
Easter mass was a lovely service and the visiting pastor was quite humorous and gave us all plenty of chuckles. It was so much fun being with Alexa but my husband decided to whisk me away for the Easter Break! That afternoon we boarded the Norwegian Jewel- a newer ship than the NCL Spirit. We both decided
the Spirit had better service and overall a more luxurious decor. On a positive note the NCL Jewel's food was very good, the Czar dining room was spectacular, the formal pictures were much better than I hoped for, and the cute clownfish carpet in the cabins hallway oriented you to which direction you were walking so I only got lost 25% of the time!!All of our excursions were fantastic. I am sure my husband will want to do another catamaran excursion on our next cruise....
As for snorkeling the Coki Beach Snorkel at St. Thomas was superb. The visibility was excellent and the fish and invertebrates were everywhere!!!

Home News Tina writes "Dan's Spring Break was over 2 months ago but since I am a firm believer of " better late than never" I am going to "catchup on my writing"! School has been out for 6 days and due to the ruling on school start time my dear husband and I still have 10 more weeks ! Yahooo!!! So if my memory serves me right .... Gloria and Paul came over with Alexa and we hit the new Apple Store Opening at Waterside shops in Naples , then had a delicious lunch at the Silver Spoon. Back at the house Alexa had a blast in her bounce house and just plowed right in!!!She was constantly pulling up but not walking yet.Definitely into speed crawling from room to room which kept us busy following her around.I finished sewing Alexa's bunny dress. Not bad for my first try at sewing little dresses but hope to get in more practice this summer. We treated Dan to dinner at Islamorado Fish House in the new Gulfcoast Mall before he headed back to UCF- it was a nice ending to Dan's spring break with us.
